Get to Know...Boot camp client/School Teacher - Danielle Russell
1. How long have you been with OTGF? Began working with On the Geaux Fitness June 1, 2015
2. What's your favorite thing about boot camp? I like being outdoors and how each workout is something different. I also love that it is scheduled so I know when I am working out. I can’t say “I’ll go later” because I’ll miss it.
3. Prior to boot camp, how long had it been since you worked out, for at least 12 weeks? About 4-5 years
4. Do you have a favorite quote? “Scream and shout like you are 5….Are you glad to be alive?"
5. What is something that not many people know about you? I love to scrapbook, but don’t do it nearly enough
6. What inspires you when you're not in the mood to exercise? Keeping my mind on my goals has kept me motivated. I’ve always set career goals, family goals, now I am applying that same concept to my fitness.
7. What is your biggest achievement or what are you most proud of since joining boot camp? I am most proud of sticking with it and how far I’ve come in such a short period of time. I can’t wait to see a year from now where I am.
8. What's the silliest thing you've done? Although I tend to be very reserve, I love to “let my hair down” with my family. I can’t think of one specific silly thing, but I love being silly with my family and my students.
9. Do you have a favorite boot camp workout? I love the Tabata workouts….Few seconds working hard, few seconds rest, then do it again.
10. A few of my favorite things are? Family, learning, scrapbooking, teaching, technology
11. What is one piece of advice you would give a newcomer? Don’t think you can’t do this. You can. I didn’t think I could get through the first workout. now I’m looking forward to it. Also, rely on Melissa. She’s amazing at keeping you motivated, answering questions, and helping you modify things or step things up to fit where you are at while continuing to push for your goals.
12. What is your favorite exercise? Tricep dips Least fav? Not a boot camp exercise, but Melissa approved gym exercise: Roman dead lifts
