Back To School 21 Day Detox!!


School is getting underway, which means summer will soon be winding down (Come on cooler weather!). I don't know about you, but it's not always easy to eat clean, especially during the summer when vacations and BBQ's are involved. Not to mention the fact that spending more time around family means eating your mom's home made sweets and treats (um, hello white chocolate covered Italian cream cake cakeballs)!


Stress is also a big part of our lives. Put those things together and you're probably not feeling like taking on the world. Well, as a personal trainer, I have to be ready to do just that every time I face a client, which is sometimes (most times) every day of the week, several times a day! I'm at that point, where I feel "BLAH". I don't feel like I'm giving 110% to my clients, I'm not sleeping good and my face is breaking out (did I mention cakeballs?).


I've never attempted a detox before. I've read up on many of them, but so many of them have some really scary stories behind them and horrible side affects. That's not what I want to sign up for. I want to feel better and get back on track to eating healthy and living the lifestyle that I should be living! As a trainer, I'm supposed to lead by example and I would not want my clients to see how I've been eating lately. I am human and I don't eat clean 100% of the time (did I mention that my mom makes 4 or 5 different varieties of cakeballs?). So, this 21 Day Detox is exactly what I'm looking for.


Here are some reasons to detox:

  • Bloating

  • Gas

  • Constipation or Diarrhea (which is worse, I don't know)

  • Canker Sores

  • Difficulty Concentrating

  • Excess Weight

  • Difficulty Losing Weight

  • Fatigue

  • Fluid Retention

  • Food Cravings

  • Headaches

  • Heartburn

  • Joint Pain

  • Muscle Aches

  • Sinus Congestion

  • Skin Rashes

  • Sleep Problems

More serious conditions that may benefit from a proper detox program include:

  • Arthritis

  • Asthma

  • Allergies

  • Autoimmune Diseases

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Diabetes

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Food Allergies

  • Heart Disease

  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis)

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Menopausal Symptoms (mood swings, poor sleep, hot flashes)

  • Menstrual Problems (PMS, heavy bleeding, cramps)

  • Migraine Headaches
