WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

 

I love taking on clients who look me straight in the face and tell me that they don't like exercising and before they know it, they have changed their way of living and are working out 5 days/week or signing up for things, such as kickboxing classes or obstacle course races!  One of my favorite sayings is "The body achieves what the mind believes"! 

 

I've found that by keeping exercise fun, and the clients accountable and motivated, they will accomplish more than they thought possible! I've trained one-on-one clients, semi-private clients and small groups.  I enjoy working with male and female clients of all ages and fitness levels.  However, I've found that women who "don't like to exercise" or don't want to join a gym or sign up for those "intimidating" boot camp classes, have become the most rewarding group to work with!  Set in small group environments, we become a family and are there to support each other, while focusing on individual goals.  They become accountable and motivated and change is inevitable!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

 

I've been involved with fitness and sports since I was a kid.  I preferred running track and gymnastics over babydolls.  A little later on, softball and cheerleading occupied my time.  After high school, probably going down a path I didn't need to be on, someone introduced me to a gym.  I knew right away this was different than anything I had ever been a part of.  From the very first day, all I wanted to do was "pump iron".  You wouldn't find me in aerobics class (we've come so far since those days!) or heaven-forbid, those boring cardio machines!  My body responded extremely fast, I became confident (something I had always struggled with), and I was hooked.  Little did I know that 20 years later I'd still be in the gym, turning that passion into a job that I absolutely love!

 

I've known for a long time that exercising and making smart choices can change your life, as it did mine.  It's not just good for the body, but for the mind as well!  To see the changes that my clients have gone through over these past few years has had an enormous affect on me and I am so proud of the hard work they have put in to reach their goals.  I can't think of a better way to spend my time - Melissa
